The 3M Buckley Innovation Centre (3M BIC), Huddersfield hosted an Innovation in Technology event this week to showcase the latest advancements in technology and how businesses in the region can benefit from them.

The 3M BIC is designed for businesses to innovate, collaborate, and facilitate local and regional regeneration.  It acts as a gateway to the University’s research centres supporting business to academia collaborations and directly impacts the growth of network members and wider regional economy.

Alongside other attendees, our Principal Consultant Dr Ash Ramzan was given the opportunity to explore the latest technology, network with industry experts and hear from a range of inspiring speakers.  The event featured a range of exhibitors and workshops, including talks on robotics, AI and CAR-T Technologies.

Attendees also had the opportunity to explore the latest technologies and gain insights into how 3M BIC Huddersfield is helping to drive innovation in the region.

Commentating on the event, Dr Ramzan said: “There’s a gap in the region for easily accessible transformational technologies, and equally huge value in facilitating innovation through collaboration between businesses and the University. Events like these not only serve to highlight such gaps, but also provide a forum to start a more collaborative way of solving industry problems.”
